Sodium butyrate contains butyric acid which is a short chain fatty acid. Butyric acid is the main energy material for intestinal epithelial cells.

The preparation consists of sodium butyric acid, which has been microencapsulated. Each capsule contains 550 mg of sodium butyrate, including as much as 170 mg of butyric acid.

Sodium butyrate has a characteristic smell and taste.

Serving recommended for consumption during the day: 2 capsules a day, preferably with an evening meal.

The daily dose (2 capsules) contains:

Sodium butyrate – 1110 mg
